It is reported that last night (17th) a person in Mullaitivu Mankulam Kivankulam area, while returning home drunk after attending a party, saw a snake on the road and hit the snake with a club and thought the snake was dead and brought it on the person’s shoulder.
The person was carrying the snake on his shoulder and was bitten by a group of passers-by who saw him lying on the road. Later, the concerned person was admitted to Mankulam Hospital and then transferred to Kilinochchi Hospital. But it is said that this person was already dead from snake venom.
