The Thai team lost to the Sri Lankan team in the semi-final match held at the Hangzhou Cricket Ground in China.
Due to rain, the match was limited to 15 overs, where the Thai team, who batted first, scored 78 runs by losing 7 wickets in their 15 overs.

The number of runs required for victory was won by the Sri Lankan players who lost only 2 wickets in 10.5 overs and won the match very easily.
