It is reported that an organized gang of three people who tried to rob a three-wheeler with sharp weapons has been arrested.
A stock of heroin worth more than 7 lakh rupees, a sword, a prohibited knife, a set of handcuffs, 25 live bullets of 9mm type and one live bullet of 845 type were taken into custody by the police.
A carpenter and a motor mechanic residing in Bandaragama, Horana area have been arrested.
The police mention that the arrested suspects were previously arrested for various crimes.
