It is reported that the Morontuduwa Police has arrested a person who abused a woman and robbed her of her gold items by pretending to be the Station Commander of the Padukka Police.
The abused woman works in a massage parlor and has identified this person through Facebook. After coming to a room rental place in Morontuduwa area, the suspect said that he was the Station Commander of the Padukka Police and showed a duty ID card. It is said that the suspect then abused her and robbed her of her gold necklace and ran away.
The Morontuduwa police investigated and arrested the suspect and it is reported that the stolen gold items were also found.
