It is reported that a group of people who entered a house in Kilinochchi, Ramanadapuram, Kalmadunagar area set fire to the house yesterday (05) and all the properties have been completely destroyed by fire.
It is said that the fire took place while the owner of the house in Kalmadu is abroad and only his wife was living in the house.
Due to the fact that the woman was at her mother’s house at the time of the fire, a group of people entered the house and set it on fire when no one was home. Due to the fire, all the property including equipment worth more than 50 lakhs in the house was destroyed.
When the house was set on fire, the CCTV footage of the house was also destroyed and then the neighbors took steps to put out the fire in the house.
But it is reported that all the properties had been destroyed by the fire.
Ramanadapuram Police further stated that the police suspect that the arson was committed due to a personal dispute between the person who is abroad and the people who committed the arson and an investigation has been started to arrest the suspects involved in the arson.
