It is reported that the librarian of Homagama Bandaranayake Public Library has been admitted to Homagama Hospital for treatment due to an assault.
It has been revealed that the attack was carried out by a worker of Homagama local council who tried to take a book without permission and when asked about this attack from the station commander of Homagama police he said that there was no attack and there was no injury even though he personally checked.
Sources at Homagama Hospital have stated that the librarian who was assaulted while on duty on the evening of the 14th is still receiving treatment at Homagama Hospital.
