It is reported that the Arthur C. Clarke Center announced that Sri Lankans will be able to witness the peak of the Geminids meteor shower on the 14th.
Mr. Indika Medagangoda, Senior Research Astronomer at the Arthur C. Clarke Center stated that it is possible to observe it in the northern and eastern sky after 9:00 pm on the 14th.
The Geminids meteor shower is considered one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year and can be seen as fragments of the asteroid collide with the atmosphere as Earth passes through the debris of the asteroid Python.
