On the recommendation of President Ranil Wickramasinghe, Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda appointed Acharya B. as the new chairman of the National Aquaculture Development Authority of Sri Lanka. It is reported that Mr. Wijeratne has been appointed.
It is said that he has worked as the chairman of Aswasuma program and resigned from that position a few days ago.
He also held the position of Commissioner General in the Department of Motor Transport for many years and then held the position of Secretary in many ministries.
Dr. B. Mr. Wijeratne is scheduled to take over work tomorrow (07).
