Foreign media have reported that two people have died due to a rare viral infection in the Indian state of Kerala.
The foreign media mentions that the two have lost their lives due to the infection of the virus called “Nipa”.
One of the two deceased died in August and the other died a few days ago. They are members of the same family and two others are suspected to have been infected with the virus. It is said that their bio samples have also been sent for testing.
Regarding this virus, doctors say that the virus destroys brain cells, and it spreads between people through contact with saliva.
The foreign media further states that the virus is spread by pigs and bats infected with this virus, and no suitable treatment method has been found so far.
