It is reported that the police headquarters has taken measures to suspend another police constable who assaulted a police constable and seriously injured him.
A police constable attached to the airport Katunayake unit has been suspended.
The police say that the attack took place after a personal dispute between the two police constables escalated and the police constable was hit with a flower vase and his head hit the window of the police help desk window causing injuries.
The Airport Police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
