It is reported that he was seriously injured and admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital after being attacked with a hoe in the Galawewa area of Kabithigollewa police domain, where he died while receiving treatment.
It is said that the deceased was staying in a paddy mill near his house, and two other people living in that area hit the deceased on the head with a hoe due to a personal dispute.
Then he was hospitalized by the local residents.
The deceased is a 64-year-old resident of Kabithigolleva, Katuwalagalewa.
It is reported that the police have taken into custody 02 mobile phones which were found to be belonging to the suspects involved in the attack.
Kabithogollawa Police is also conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects.
