It is reported that Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said in the Parliament to investigate corruption in Sri Lanka Cricket before raiding Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe.
The opposition leader mentioned that the Cabinet has taken a decision to curtail the powers of the Sports Minister and through the Sports Act, the Sports Minister has been empowered to appoint interim committees etc.
Mr. Sajith Premadasa has questioned whether he needs to take cabinet approval to make decisions even though he has been empowered by the Act.
