The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced that the National Water Supply and Drainage Board is preparing to start a sea water purification project for the daily use of the people of Jaffna district, and about 03 lakh people belonging to 60,000 families will benefit from this project.
Also, the board has mentioned that the preliminary work of the project has already started and it is scheduled to be completed at the beginning of next year.
A cabinet paper has also been submitted for calling tenders related to pipelines for the relevant project and tenders are scheduled to be called as soon as it is approved.
