It is reported that the Sri Lankan cricket organizations have distributed the promised prize money to the stadium staff during the Asia Cup cricket tournament.
It has been mentioned in the announcement that the staff of the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and the staff of the Pallekele Stadium will be entitled to this prize money.
Also, 138 of the ground staff of the R. Premadasa ground in Colombo have been given money and 115 of the ground staff of the Pallekele Stadium are scheduled to be given prize money on the coming Friday. The Asian Cricket Council has contributed 25,000 dollars and the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute has contributed 25,000 dollars for this purpose and accordingly the total amount to be distributed is close to 16 million rupees, the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute has stated.
It is also mentioned that this prize money is going to be given to the stadium employees who have been working on permanent and contract basis.
