It is reported that the Ministry of Electric Power and Energy has announced that a special discussion has been called today (14) to discuss the measures to be taken to maintain continuous electricity supply without cuts.
Minister of State Indika Anuruddha said that a group of people including officials of the Electricity Board will participate in it.
However, if it is necessary to purchase electricity in the future, the state minister has also mentioned that he will take steps to call for tenders for that.
The Minister of State said that there should be no unwarranted fear of a planned power cut.
