It is reported that a special gazette notice has been issued with the signature of the Acting President’s Secretary Mrs. Chandani Wijayawardena, naming several essential services.
The gazette notification has been issued considering that there may be a blockage or obstruction to those services which are essential for maintaining the normal life of the people.
Accordingly, the following services have been declared as essential services.
*All services related to electricity supply.
*Supply or distribution of petroleum products and fuel.
*All services, work or labor of any description required or to be performed in connection with the maintenance and reception, care, feeding and treatment of patients in hospitals, nursing homes, dispensaries and other general institutions.
It has been declared essential services.
