It is reported that the Ministry of Education has announced that the salaries of teachers who do not implement transfer orders will be suspended.
It is said that this decision was taken considering the existing teacher vacancies.
The ministry has said that it has received many complaints that they are working in the same pre-schools where they were, without following the transfer orders.
However, the principals have requested to retain some teachers in their existing schools due to the need for service and the ministry has stated that this decision will not be enforced for such teachers.
The Ministry of Education stated that there is a program of reassignment of teachers from schools with surplus teachers to schools with shortage of teachers.
