The National Audit Office has reported that an amount of three crore, four hundred and four hundred and seven rupees has been charged to the examination department from 09 government institutions for conducting corporate examinations.
This amount was to be charged by the end of last year (2022) and the examination department has also made a request to the Treasury to provide instructions with a specific method of recovering the expenses from the relevant institutions.
But the audit report has stated that no response has been received so far.
The audit further revealed that the results of 09 examinations were released without taking the full amount or an advance, even though the institutes declared that they should conduct the examinations and charge the fees.
