It is reported that the Raid and Special Investigation Unit of the Consumer Authority raided a food warehouse in Modara area that was unfit for consumption.
It is said that 35,000 kg of substandard sugar, 15,000 kg of expired sugar, a stock of imported papadum, and a stock of unfit white onion were found there.
Many of the food items there did not have prices and it is reported that the store was sealed by the consumer authority.
It is also stated that legal action was taken against those suspects.
