It is reported that geologists have warned that the continued presence of holes in Samanala Lake reservoir is a very dangerous situation.
Chairman of the Committee on Parliamentary Methods and Procedures, Member of Parliament Mr. Patali Champika Ranawaka says that geologists have told about it.
He further stated that when the relevant parties were called and inquired about the matter, the geologists had warned in this regard and the authority’s party, the Electricity Board, avoided this committee meeting.
Mr. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Member of Parliament, has further stated that since no proper project has been implemented to drain the water that collects in Colombo city during heavy rains, steps will be taken to investigate it.
