It is reported that a program has been started to provide ID cards to people who have not been able to get National ID cards due to lack of birth certificates.
The Commissioner General of Registration of Persons Mr. Pradeep Saputanti mentioned that an instruction sheet has been sent to all the Divisional Secretaries to implement the program for persons who have completed 40 years of age.
Accordingly, it is stated that Sri Lankan citizens over 40 years of age, registered in the voter register, with permanent residence in a certain village officer division, can apply for this.
