It is reported that the Public Health Inspectors Association of Sri Lanka has announced that it has launched an operation to raid chocolate marketing points illegally imported from foreign countries.
Mr. Upul Rohana, the president of the association, has informed that the places selling illegally imported chocolates and sweets are spread all over the country and they contain food that is not in accordance with the standards of Sri Lanka.
Also, the Association of Public Health Inspectors has stated that there are legal procedures to be followed when importing and selling food produced in a certain country and that both businessmen and consumers should pay attention to it.
