Due to the spread of fever and skin disease among the inmates, relatives were restricted from visiting the inmates in the past few days, but the prison department has stated that the inmates will no longer be taken out.
And in this regard, a prison officer has stated that the spread of the disease has been controlled so far.
Two inmates died and 9 others were hospitalized due to the disease that spread among the inmates of the Galle prison. Four of them are still receiving treatment at Karapitiya Hospital.
