It is reported that the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has been summoned before the Committee on Public Affairs or COPE Committee.
COPE Committee Chairman MP Ranjith Bandara stated that today (14th) at 2 pm, the officials of the Cricket Institute have been called before the COPE Committee.
Mr. Ranjith Bandara, Member of Parliament, has stated that there will be discussions on many matters including 02 special reports and recommendations made by two COP committees.
Earlier, Sri Lanka Cricket had been called to a COPE committee chaired by MP Sunil Handunnetty and a COPE committee chaired by MP Charita Herath.
Due to this, Mr. Ranjith Bandara, chairman of the COPE committee, has mentioned that the recommendations made to the cricket body may also be included in the report that the Auditor General will present for today’s discussion.
Meanwhile, the Communications Department of the Parliament states that Sri Lankan Customs officials have been summoned before the Government Accounts Committee or COPA Committee on the 17th.
