It is reported that the biological samples of a person who died after being given an antibiotic at the Colombo National Hospital have been sent to India for further investigations.
It is also stated that the samples of the antibiotic given to the concerned patient by the Deputy Director General of Health Services have also been sent to Australia for investigation.
The concerned person had been admitted to the hospital for treatment of cuts and the health department had taken measures to temporarily stop the use of the antibiotic given by the doctor.
