It is reported that the battle started by the government and the opposition to defeat the motion of no confidence presented by the Samagi Jana Balavegaya against the Minister of Health, Mr. Keheliya Rambukwella, and to make the ruling party win, has now reached a heated stage.
The government has appointed a special committee to conduct the necessary activities to win the no-confidence motion and political sources have mentioned that the government has to do this because the opposition political parties are making strong efforts to win the no-confidence motion.
Meanwhile, as the opposition is fighting a strong battle to defeat the no-confidence motion, the President has banned all ministers from traveling abroad next week.
