Foreign news has revealed that Harak Kata has been taken into custody. Earlier, he was arrested in Dubai, but the government agencies in Lanka arranged for his release from the Dubai Police.

On October 9, 2022, Aruna newspaper had reported the conspiracy as follows. Will this conspiracy work again this time? Many people doubt it.

“Letters were made in Sri Lanka for 50 days until Harak Kata left the Dubai police – the police, the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are in a tug of war.

It has been revealed that from August 19 to September 12, when the police department was officially informed that Harak Kata had been arrested from Dubai, there was a delay in processing the files for 23 days.

On September 12, the same day as the report was forwarded to the Ministry of Defense, the Police Department also forwarded a copy of the report to the Attorney General’s Department seeking the advice of the Attorney General.

It was forwarded to the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before the meeting of the National Security Council the next day (23rd) with the signature of the Defense Secretary. It was revealed that the country was officially informed that the cattle rustlers were arrested on August 19 and that the thirty day period given to submit the files will end in a week.

The gazette for the agreement to exchange prisoners under the extradition law was issued by former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa on May 30, 2022, but the current president ordered to submit it to the parliament immediately before his visit to Japan.

The Defense Secretary forwarded the file to the Foreign Secretary on September 13, and the Foreign Secretary again sent it to the Attorney General’s Department on September 15. The Attorney General’s Department took another week to examine the file and sent it back to the Foreign Secretary on September 26.

The Foreign Secretary took another four days to send it to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Abu Dhabi. It was sent to Abu Dhabi on September 30.

Even before the arrest of Kharak Kata in Dubai, the IGP had informed the police chiefs in the security chiefs’ meetings to prepare files for issuing red warrants against him.

In spite of this, it was revealed from unofficial information that the cattle went free last Monday (03).

The President has ordered the Secretary of Defense to appoint a special committee to search for the government officials who delayed the necessary documents, at the time of the meeting of the Security Council last Tuesday (04).

However, Dubai information revealed that several high officials of the political and police and several people in the legal field have been bribed to prevent the cattle from being brought to Sri Lanka. The sources also state that the Dubai drug dealers have spent more than one hundred crore rupees on this entire operation.
