It is reported that the Court of Appeal has set a date to consider the petition filed by His Eminence Cardinal to issue an order to the Attorney General to implement the recommendations issued by the Presidential Commission appointed to investigate the Easter attack.
When the petition was called today (27), when the court ordered the parties to file the related documents, the petitioner Cardinal Thero stated that the Presidential Commission of Inquiry has issued recommendations to take action against a group of police officers for not taking action to prevent the terrorist attack on Sunday. But since they have not been implemented, the petition has requested to issue an order to the Attorney General to implement them.
After that, after considering the facts presented by all the parties, the Court of Appeal has ordered to be convened on May 9th to confirm the facts of the relevant petition.
