Neelamani Malaviarachchi, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Education, has reported that the government has taken steps with the approval of the director of special education in the region to allow children with special needs to study in a regular classroom for the year 2024.
She has further mentioned that it is the first time in the history of this country that children with special needs are included among ordinary children in the first grade.
