It is reported that the COPA Committee has informed the Department of Probation and Child Welfare to identify children who do not go to school and maintain a data system in this regard as soon as possible.
It is stated that when the COPA Committee met in Parliament to examine the Auditor General’s reports and current performance of the Probation and Child Care Department for the years 2019, 2020, 2021, the committee chairman has given instructions in this regard.
Also, the Chairman of COPA Committee has informed the Department of Probation and Child Protection that together with the Ministry of Education, a system of getting this information once a month or every two months should be prepared by the schools.
