It is reported that the Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ruwan Wijayamuni has stated that there is an increase in the number of dengue cases reported from the Colombo Municipal Council area, and that there is a risk of this situation developing in the next two weeks with the onset of monsoon rains.
He further mentioned that 2,138 suspected dengue cases have been reported in Colombo city, and the highest number of cases have been reported from Kurunduwatta area.
