The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has informed Mr. Deshbandu Tennakoon, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the Western Provinces, to appear as a suspect in connection with the discovery of more than one crore seventy-eight hundred thousand rupees found there when the Gota Go village activists entered the Presidential Palace on May 9 last year. It is reported that a writ was issued to the Court of Appeal invalidating the issued summons.
