It is reported that a senior official of the National Water Supply and Water Transport Board has stated that the supply of drinking water to Kandy and Monaragala districts has been restricted due to the continued dry weather.
The official said that the supply of drinking water has been restricted in several districts and water distribution in several areas is being done on a shift basis.
The official has further mentioned that the distribution of water to the city of Kurunegala, which has high water consumption, was earlier restricted.
