It is reported that public inspectors have decided to conduct emergency inspection of railway canteens.
Shanaka Bopitiya, secretary of the Union of Public Inspectors, said that the decision was taken when it was observed that the canteen of the Meenagaya train was being run in an unclean manner during the recent inspection.
According to that, steps have been taken to temporarily suspend the restaurant compartment of the Meenagaya train based on a court order.
