It is reported that the Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment Mr. Manusha Nanayakkara said that the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau will provide the necessary financial support for the housing project proposed to be started for the workers engaged in foreign jobs.
This project is implemented jointly by the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau and the National Housing Development Authority.
A progress review meeting was held yesterday (08) regarding the cabinet paper to be submitted to the cabinet regarding the housing project where these decisions were taken and a survey was conducted regarding the housing needs of expatriate workers through the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau. It is stated that basic plans have been prepared to implement this housing project by paying attention to the problems identified there.
The Minister has also instructed the officers to take the necessary steps to quickly amend the related cabinet paper and submit it to the cabinet.
