It is reported that a mother of two, a resident of Ambakadawila area, was attacked by three other women and her hair was cut off with a pair of scissors brought by them on the night of the eighth night due to a suspicion of an extramarital affair.
According to a complaint made by the woman who was beaten to the police, the main suspect involved in this incident has now been arrested by the Halawata Police and it is said that the attack took place due to a suspicion that the woman’s husband and the woman who was beaten were having an affair.
The woman who was attacked has been admitted to Halawata General Hospital and it is stated that investigations have been started to find two other suspects who are said to be involved in this incident. Also, it is reported that the Halawata Police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
