The Dompe police have received complaints about a person who defrauded several people known from Facebook by saying that they would send them to work in Canada and Romania.
It has been learned that this person named Kusan Hettiarachi has committed this fraud by saying that he works in the Prime Minister’s Office and sometimes he works in the President’s Office.
It has also been learned that he has recently called the Kaduwela Education Office and influenced the transfer of a principal saying that he works in the Prime Minister’s office.
It is also known that he is taking money and avoiding it by saying that he will be sent for foreign jobs. Sources also say that when the people who are caught in the fraud ask for the money again, they cheat the people by giving them expensive checks.
It is also known that after knowing that the checks are valuable checks, when they ask for money again, they tell the victims to do whatever they can as they are a head working in the Prime Minister’s Office.
A victim of the scam also said that he always indicates that the President and the Prime Minister are his friends.
A person has filed a complaint under MOIB 02/19 in Dompe Police on 02.02.2023 that he received an amount of 365,000 rupees and then gave a valuable cheque, saying that he was sending the country.
This scammer has also signed the check saying that the money will be given again on 12.10.2022 to those caught in the check fraud.
But sources say that no action has been taken against this fraudster, so he is deceiving innocent people as usual.
As one of his brothers is also working as a press secretary of a state minister, it is known that he has amassed that power as well.
