It is reported that Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, has been called to the Parliament complex of the Health Trade Unions to discuss the problems in the health sector, including the shortage of medicines and vaccines.
It is stated that this discussion has been called according to the powers available to the opposition leader.
Mr. Ravi Kumudesh, the convener of the National Movement of Health Professionals, Dr. Chamal Sanjeeva, the President of the Medical and Civil Rights Doctors’ Union, and Mr. Shanaka Dharmawickrama, the President of the Government Radiology Technologists Association, have participated in this discussion.
