It is reported that the Minister of Education Mr. Susil Premajayantha made a special statement in the Parliament today (21) that the Commissioner of Examinations will inform about the revised dates of the 2023 A Level examination in the coming week.
The Minister who further commented,
“We have to take into account the situation that may arise from postponing the 2023 A-level examination to January 2024. If we do so, the 2023 APOSA Ordinary Level examination scheduled to be held in March and April 2024 will have to be postponed to May and June 2024. The release of 2023 A-level results will be in July 2024. It will take place in the month of July 2024. After the release of the results in July 2024, the applicants appearing for the 2024 Aposa A-level examination will have to be given extra time like this time. In that case, the 2024 A-level will be postponed until December or January 2025. Accordingly, the education system is already Correcting the backlog will be further delayed. School timetables may also be delayed due to the irregularity of school examinations. Accordingly, the admission of children to the first grade will also be delayed by several days. There will be a problem of room space. Delay in release of A-level results will also delay university admissions.”
