It is reported that the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the revision of the aflatoxin cut-off level for food supplement programs including Triposha for children from 6 months to 3 years.
Due to the strict cut-off level for total aflatoxin set in the existing regulations under the Food Act, it has been difficult to obtain the maize required for the production of Triphosa. Accordingly, the Minister of Health has approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Health to apply the cut-off levels of 5ppb and 10ppb for the aflatoxin type b1 in the internationally recognized food supplements.
