It is reported that a woman who was traveling on the railway while making a call on a mobile phone was hit by the train and lost her life.
The woman in question was injured when the train which was running from Badulla to Colombo collided at the place called 60 feet bridge between Kotagala – Hatton.
It is said that the dead body of the deceased woman was brought to the Kotagala railway station by the same train and the body was taken to the Kotagala hospital.
A woman resident of Hatton Kudagama area has lost her life in the accident.
