The annual conference of the International Monetary Fund is scheduled to begin today (09) in Morocco and it is reported that many officials including finance ministers and central bank governors of many countries are going to join it.
Accordingly, Sri Lanka’s State Minister for Finance Shehan Semasinghe, Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Finance Ministry Secretary Mahinda Siriwardena and others are scheduled to participate in this conference.
State Minister Shehan Semasinghe, who commented on this matter, stated that this conference will be an opportunity to further strengthen the confidence that Sri Lanka has gained in front of the international community, and it is believed that the economic stabilization that is currently taking place in Sri Lanka will create the necessary background for economic growth in the year 2024. and that
