A news was reported that a young man who worked as a cashier of the same hotel has died mysteriously in the morning of today (31) in a hotel in Kasbewa area.
The dead young man is Rithma Tharanga, a resident of Denipitiya – Warakapitiya – area and he died at the age of 26. It is said that this young man fell from the top floor of a three-storey hotel and died.
In response to police questioning, an employee of the hotel said that the hotel closed at around 11 pm and that the young man who died at around 2 am fell down and was struggling in front of the hotel.
It has been revealed from the preliminary investigation of the incident that the dead young man had been talking to someone on the phone since the previous day. It is also reported that a motorcycle had overturned near the place where the young man was lying and it is being investigated.
The hotel owner was informed when the young man collapsed in front of the hotel and shortly after he arrived, the young man was admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital, but it is reported that the young man died. Police investigations are still on whether the death of this young man was an accident or a murder.
