It is reported that today (21) will be four years since the Easter Sunday attack.
On Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, a series of Islamic terrorist suicide bombings targeted three Catholic and Christian churches in Sri Lanka and three luxury hotels in Colombo.
On the same day, explosions were also reported in a lodge in Dematagoda and 277 people including 45 foreigners, three police officers and the eight bombers were killed in the entire attack and more than 500 people were injured and hospitalized.
Also, a two-minute silence will be held today (21) at 8.45 am in memory of these dead people.
