It is reported that today marks the 54th anniversary of the moon walk.
Arthur C. said that 137 countries contributed to the moon journey and because of Professor Cyril Ponnamperuma, who was the founding director of the Arthur C. Clark Institute, Sri Lanka also had a special place in that endeavor. Mr. Wijayawardena, Deputy Director of Clark Institute, has stated.
On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong made history as the first man to walk on the moon.
There he said, “This is just a small step for a man, but a giant leap for mankind.”
