It is reported that the Criminal Investigation Department recorded the statements of Reverend Jerome Fernando, who is accused of making a statement insulting Buddhism, religion and life, for more than 10 hours starting today (30) in the morning.
The court had ordered him to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department and give a statement within 48 hours of his arrival on the island and according to that order he appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department yesterday (29).
Accordingly, pastor Jerome Fernando appeared before the Digital Intelligence Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department today (30) at 8.30 am and it is said that the questioning was not over by evening.
