Astronomer Janaka Adasuriya of the Physics Department of the University of Colombo has said that Sri Lanka can see the maximum of the Leonid meteor shower.
It is reported that it is possible to see the meteor shower tomorrow (18) and the next day (19).
It is said that 10-15 meteors can be seen here per hour.
During these two days, it is reported that this meteorite can be seen after 2:00 in the morning while looking at the Leo constellation along the eastern horizon.
