It is reported that the daily activities of the dispensary have been stopped due to a threat to the life of a doctor who was working at the Central Dispensary located in the Muthur area of Jaffna.
The activities of the central dispensary have been disturbed by some group using a loudspeaker in an area close to this dispensary to emit various sounds. Later, the doctor went to the place and informed the people not to disturb them. It is mentioned that recently some people entered this central dispensary and behaved violently and then threatened the life of the doctor.
Due to this incident, the doctor along with the staff of the central dispensary has left the treatment and informed the police in this regard. It has also been informed that the work of the dispensary will not be completed until this problem is resolved.
It is reported that the Northern Provincial Doctors’ Association has informed the relevant authorities in this regard and they are working to provide a solution as soon as possible.
