It is reported that Mr. Manusha Nanayakkara said in Parliament today (25) that it was decided to provide a loan at a low concessional interest rate for people who have come to Sri Lanka from abroad to start businesses.
The minister who commented in this regard,
“Yesterday, the cabinet gave its approval and submitted a proposal to the cabinet to take a low-interest loan of up to 2 million rupees for foreign workers. The Foreign Employment Bureau has referred 5 billion rupees. The cabinet proposed that in addition to the loan amount of 2 million rupees, it will be given The President advised us to further expand this loan system for those who are in the country and for those who are currently here to continue their business activities and turn them into entrepreneurs again…”
