The Organized Crime Investigation Unit of the Colombo Crime Division has reportedly arrested the person riding the motorcycle who shot and seriously injured a person in the Maligawatta area on the first day of last week.
A 21-year-old resident of Keselwatta area of Colombo has been arrested.
The police have further disclosed that 5 grams and 180 milligrams of heroin were found in the possession of this suspect who is addicted to drugs.
It has also been revealed in the investigation that the suspect has worked as a disciple of the poet who is currently hiding in the state of Dubai.
